There is no charge for software updates to your current product. Once you have a copy of SmartMan software installed, you do not come to this site to update your product
TO UPDATE PRODUCT PURCHASED BEFORE 1 JANUARY 2015: Plug your manikin into your computer, connect the computer to the internet, then start the software. A window called the "Version Check" will appear in the lower right part of the window. If there is an update to your product you will be given the option to update or not.
TO UPDATE PRODUCT PURCHASED AFTER 1 JANUARY 2015: You do NOT need to connect the manikin to do this. Connect to the internet. Start the SmartMan software. Click on the update button which is on the right side of the window. If there is an update, it will give you an option to install it. To install the update click on the Download Button. If there are several updates, each update will be installed in order.
If you need to install the software again, or if you want to install the SmartMan software onto a different computer, do the following.
CLEAN INSTALL FOR PRODUCT PURCHASED BEFORE 1 JANUARY 2015: Scroll below and select the link for your product. Click on the link below to get the downloaded. Once downloaded you will have to correctly install the software. Once it is installed, run the update procedure described above.
CLEAN INSTALL FOR PRODUCT PURCHASED AFTER 1 JANUARY 2015: go the email which was sent to you. This contains your key code and a link to your software. Download the software, double click on the icon to start it. Click on the update button.
Your hardware (the manikin) must be set up to run with the specific software which you have purchased. If you have not upgraded your hardware to run at least to the 2010 Guidelines some upgrades will not work. If you are not sure which software you are running, click here and look at the pictures to help you determine which you are running. Determine when you purchased the product and the product name.
UPDATES AFTER 1 March 2015. There is no link to the latest software from the website. If you do not have the original email with the download link, please send us an email with you product name and the purchaser. Email us. |

TO ACTIVATE: Your SmartMan will be activated when you register your first person. Connect to the internet, Login to SmartMan, Click the register button, fill in the form and submit.

We will need to following information: Name of the Contact Person, Email of the Contact Person, Telephone of the Contact Person
If you have access to the V4EMS or Ambu invoice that came with your SmartMan, the following information will help us: Bill To Number (Upper Left), Customer Number (Upper Left)
This information will allow us to fully activate the account and send you the required Key Code right away.
Download: When you click on the link above, your browser will ask whether to save or run the software. You can do either.
The Downloaded File: You can save the downloaded file to a memory stick if you wish. You can use the downloaded file to install SmartMan on multiple machines.
Install / Update: The file is a self-extracting zip file. If you saved it, double click on the file when it has downloaded.
This will install SmartMan onto your machine. If you already had a version of SmartMan running it will upgrade that version. Go here for information on the file structure.
What Happens: Installation will copy all of the program files necessary to run the program. All of your data from previous tests will remain on your hard drive. It will not erase these.
For major upgrades, SmartMan will create a new subdirectory under the version number. This will mean that on login you will not see the existing login names. To see those logins and to see the data appear (their results), you must copy all of the login files to the new subdirectory.
