Answers to some questions

Q: Can I use SmartMan without registering?
Yes - 5 Times Out of the Box. You must register SmartMan to use the program. However, when you first take SmartMan out of the box, there is a Practice User at login. You can use this 5 times before you have to register the program.

Yes - Once registered. Once you have registered, the practice user provides access to all practices without having to register. It allows for 20 practices each time you login. In a single session if you need more than 20 practices, simply login again and you have 20 more. Note that with a practice user you do not have any user name so results will not have the name of a person on them.

To use SmartMan tests you must login, enter a password and be registered. Each person who is registered has access to 3 tests for each activity and 20 practices. All results are recorded with the login name so that you can print results or come back and view them at a later time. top

Q: What if the training venue does not have an internet connection. How can I use SmartMan?
Practice User. The existing practice user that comes with SmartMan on first installation does not require a registration. It provides 20 practices. If you need more, login again and you immediately have 20 more.

Pre-Register. You can register everyone BEFORE the class. This can be with the real student names or with category names. If you have a small number of people (25 or less) we suggest that you simply register them 1 at a time. Once you are familiar with the registration process, it should take you about 40 seconds to register each person. These can be done on your own laptop or on a computer that has a good internet connection. Once everyone is registered, copy the folders of the registrations in your c:\v4ems\... records directory onto a USB stick. Then copy them into the same directory on any or all of the computer(s) that will be used in the training classroom.

Bulk Registration. SmartMan also offers a free bulk registration. Fill in the names of students into an excel spreadsheet and send them to us. We will do the registrations and send back the files for you.top

Q: What do I do if I run out of practices?
For A Registered user. Register again and this will give you 20 more.

For the practice User. Simply login again with the practice user and there are 20 more.top

Q: What do I do if I run out of tests?
Register that user again or regs iter a new user and this will give you 3 more of all tests. top

Q: I am not sure which of the results have been submitted to the internet.
There are two ways to check to see if results have been submitted. top

A) When connected to the internet, Login, select View Previous Results, select the results you wish to check. When you press the Continue button, you will be asked whether you want to submit the results or not. Click on the Submit button. If the results are already there, it will say so. If they have not already been submitted, they will be sent to the server.

B) If you have a large number of results that you need submitted to the server, please contact us. We will supply you with a free SmartMan Web Robot that can do the job for you. top

Q: I am a trainer and I have several classes who have worked on SmartMan. In the classes I do not have access to the internet. How do I get all of their results onto the server so I can use the summary analysis.
First make a copy of all folders in the records sub folders from every computer that was used in training. Then contact us. We will supply you with a free SmartMan Web Robot that can do the job for you. top

Q: My registration has expired. What do I do?
Login and register again. If you are on the latest software, when you go to register (since you have already logged in and were registered before) the fields for the registration form will already be filled in. All you have to do is press the Submit button. top

Q: Can I delete a login name?
All data can be deleted by deleting the directory with the login name which you wish to delete. If you do this, all information will be deleted. You cannot recover this information. Go here for information on the SmartMan file structure. top
